The 8th of March Sunday, at the T-Mobile Arena will have many exciting fights. They will be Weili Zhang vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Robert Whittaker vs Jared Cannonier, but as exciting all these fights will be, the main event will most definitely by one to watch, besides the fact it is the main card. Israel Adesanya who is the middleweight Champion in the UFC, might face an onslaught with Yoel Romero.
Who is as per his fellow Cuban training partner-Jorge Masvidal, ready for the fight and very hungry after losing his last fight by a controversial split-decision. Masvidal speaks about how Yoel has looked at his previous fights and he has changed “his approach”.
Masvidal highlights how Yoel is now focusing on finishing fights and how this will be dangerous for Israel. Should Israel catch a knee or elbow, it may be the end of the fight. It is not something new of Yoel athletic feats. The former Cuban Olympian wrestler came out of Cuba’s tough elite training regimen for its athletes, coming out as the top wrestler during his time.
Kudos for Israel wanting to take on Yoel, offering a title chance that is much deserved and it shows Israel does not want any easy pickings. Speaking on the Ariel Helwani MMA show about how he wants to fight the best guys.
Now Israel may have defeated Anderson Silva in UFC 234 and its good he wants to clean up the house of all the top fighters. Nonetheless, Yoel his biggest challenge, a man who is bitter for his losses which some pundits say he should have won.
Stylebender-Israel is also in his own right agile and smooth enough to take on a robust opponent like Yoel. Whether if Israel wins or loses, only our fantasies right now can imagine what the outcome will be, and this will be an exciting one to watch.
