TRUMP 2020 SO FAR

Trump 2020 started with a bang

TRUMP 2020

Trump 2020 started with a bang, in fact his controversial presidency and policies on tariffs and economic war with China carried on from last year. The bang started with the killing Qassem Soleimani, a top Iranian General of the Quds Forces of Iran. Trump had ordered the assassination of Soleimani and did not back down on the decision, nearly pitting the United States at war with Iran.

Soleimani had arrived at the Baghdad airport on an official visit before his assassination. After his killing, the world feared not only of Iran and the US fighting, but of possible World War III. The events played with Iran striking back an American base in Iraq without killing anyone, due to warning Iraqi authorities beforehand. This information was passed on to the Americans allowing them take safety during the Iranian missile attacks.

The result was no World War 3, but most Iraqis who are Shiite Muslim asking American to leave the country (Iraq). The Iraqi parliament all voting yes for the expulsion of foreign troops out of its country. So, Trump’s decision to kill Soleimani has pissed off the neocons who are the only people benefitting from this war.

Besides the worsening tensions with Iran, the resilient US President, Trump, has stood to the Democrats who have been trying to get rid of him from the beginning. Still tasting the bitter taste of defeat as the president defeated presidential hopeful Hilary Clinton. The Democrats inexplicably as seen by most pundits with sane minds, do not understand why the Democrats have launched their campaign to have Trump impeached. However, as the impeachment trial of the president is now seating with the senate completely controlled by Republicans; this impeachment trial is a waste of time and the Republican dominated senate will rule in favour of Trump.

But it does not stop there, Trump has finalised a deal for the Israel Palestinian issue, a deal that he thinks the Palestinians will not refuse. Included is $50 billion for the Palestinians, a deal the Palestinian leadership has already rejected.
